Mobile Spatial Information System (mSIS)

Cadcorp mSIS is an easy to use data capture application for the Pocket PC platform.

The mSIS solution is supplied in two parts, a desktop based project management package - mSIS Office, plus a Pocket PC based data capture system - mSIS Mobile.

Cadcorp mSIS Office offers project managers the capability to define and control projects effectively from their desktops. Project data can be transferred quickly and easily to field operatives equipped with mSIS Mobile on Pocket PC. mSIS Mobile provides for swift and structured data collection with freely based and GPS inputted graphic features. Captured data can be transferred back to mSIS Office for incorporation into office based projects. mSIS supports a number of native File Formats and Raster Formats.

Cadcorp mSIS Mobile on the Pocket PC allows users to view geospatial data and to create and edit vector geometry.

mSIS links to any GPS receiver supporting NMEA 0183 formatted GPS messages and creates GPS point, line and area vectors.

Pocket PC devices are increasingly powerful in terms of onboard processors, memory sizes and colour display. Expansion is easy, with linkage to GPS receivers, mobile telecommunications and desktop PCs using either card slots/serial, USB or infrared ports.
