Cadcorp mSIS - mobile Spatial Information System
The latest release of mSIS, Cadcorp's easy to use data capture application for the Pocket PC platform is now available. It has a number of new features and enhancements, these include:
- Support for Oracle 10g/11g, including a check-out/check-in manager. Users can now export data to, and import data from, an Oracle Spatial Database.
- 'Photo-linking' - Users can now take photos and link them to items on an overlay, via the use of ‘photo-fields’ (on mobile devices equipped with an in-built camera).
- Enhanced support for OS MasterMap.
- The Cadcorp OS MasterMap Manager is included
with mSIS Office to allow users to produce Cadcorp ODB (OS MasterMap
database) files from source gzip files. The ODB files can then be
used within mSIS Office.
- The ability to 'cookie cut' areas of OS MasterMap
for subsequent download to mobile device.
- The clarity of OS Mastermap display on mobile
devices has been improved.
- New Labelling functionality - users can now easily
add labelling to all items on a map overlay.
- Ability to snap to existing geometry on mobile device
allowing for precise geometry input and editing.
- Enhanced XML Schema Functionality - provides more
flexibility on data entry.
- Support for TAB and SHP files as both base map and
editable overlays.
- Improved performance on mSIS Mobile and mSIS Office,
including more efficient handling of GPS data.
